Who We're Looking For

We are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join our well-established full-stack team. As a Junior DevOps Engineer at Simbuka, you will work closely with our developers to maintain and improve the infrastructure supporting our projects—ranging from internal tools to complex loan origination systems. You will help ensure the stability, scalability, and security of our platform.

What You'll Work On

  • Deploy and maintain production systems used by banks in Africa (cloud and on-premise);
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines to support fast and reliable releases across multiple environments;
  • Monitor and troubleshoot real production issues impacting financial systems;
  • Work closely with developers to improve infrastructure, performance, and reliability;

Requirements and Skills

  • 1+ years of experience with Docker and Terraform;
  • Experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud or AWS;
  • Experience with Node.js and TypeScript applications;
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes (GitHub Actions);
  • Good spoken and written English;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Good communication skills.
